Generalni sekretar ICCF nam je poslal spodnje sporočilo. Gre za iskanje države gostiteljice kongresa 2011. Ker primernega kandidata do letošnjega kongresa ni bilo, ICCF tokrat ponuja izjemno visoko finančno soudeležbo v znesku 7500€. Do 15.12. se lahko prijavi vsaka nacionalna zveza, ki želi kongres organizirati.

Sicer pa se neuradno že pojavljajo pol-najave kandidatur. To so: Avstrija (Gradec), Južna Afrika, Finska in ponovno Turčija.



Dear ICCF Delegates and Officials,

While the President, Eric Ruch and myself continue to finalize the draft minutes of this year's Congress in Antalya, Turkey, one agenda item is extremely time sensitive and we wish for the delegates to get this information as soon as possible.

Please review the attached presentation provided in Congress concerning the Congress location of 2011 and beyond. Because we had no firm proposals to host the 2011 Congress, the EB has clarified the monetary incentives (see presentation) and also put into place a contingency plan in the event no Federation is willing to host the 2011 Congress.

On a personal note, I would like to echo the remarks of our ICCF Honorary President, Alan Borwell, and mention that it would be a dark day in ICCF history if we did not have a full Congress to celebrate the accomplishments of the past year and meet to address future issues.

The deadline is critical. We will accept proposals to host the 2011 Congress from now until December 15, 2010. Starting on December 16, 2010, and in accordance with Section 4.1.5 of the ICCF Statutes, the President, in conjunction with the Executive Board, will begin to evaluate any proposals submitted and select the best venue. We hope to have our decision no later than December 31, 2010 -- sooner if we can. With the generous financial incentives we have this year, (for 2011 Congress only, generous offers of 1.500 Euros from the European Federation and 1.000 Euros from the United States Federation have been added; thus totaling 7.500 Euros of support), there should be no reason we should not have proposals from many Federations. In the event no proposals are received by December 15, 2010, the President in conjunction with the EB will decide on one of the two contingency plans.

Please submit your Federation proposal to the ICCF General Secretary with a :cc copy to the ICCF President no later than December 15, 2010.
